On October 16-17, the 27th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Foundry and Metallurgy 2019. Belarus" is being held in Zhlobin, organized by the Association of Foundry Workers and Metallurgists of the Republic of Belarus (ALiM) and the Belarusian National Technical University. A large-scale forum gathered on the basis of the Zhlobin Metallurgical College about 100 representatives of specialized companies and scientific organizations of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and Egypt.
On the first day of the conference, a plenary session was held, at which the participants considered relevant issues of modernization of foundry and metallurgical industries in Belarus and presented presentations of promising investment projects in the industry. Within the framework of the plenary session, the ALiM-2019 laureates were also awarded. Ivan Pankovets, engineer-technologist of BMZ technical management, was awarded this title in the nomination "Best scientific & industrial work of a young scientist or engineer" for the project "Development and implementation of an automated system for optimal bar cutting on the 370/150 mill".
& bsp; & bsp; On October 17, the conference will be held in three thematic sections - "Foundry", "Metallurgy" and "Materials Science" - where 50 reports will be presented. The conference participants will share their personal experience on a wide range of issues: from the introduction of new technologies and ways to improve product quality to the use of 3D printing in the manufacture of casting molds.
