TMK held a single day of Lean production
At the site of Volzhsky pipe plant (VTZ), a member of Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), held a corporate conference "a Single day of lean production". It was attended by about 70 representatives of Russian and foreign companies of the TMK, as well as partner companies.
the Event was opened in the format of a video message, the General Director of TMK Igor Korytko. He pointed participants for effective work and noted that the conference is a great opportunity for a productive exchange of experience in the areas of development of system improvements and the engagement of each employee.
during the conference the participants, in particular, discussed the results of work of the corporate system improvements, TMK, development of production business systems of enterprises, the use of digital technologies to improve production efficiency. In addition, they shared best practices in the area implemented during the past year, improvement projects and personnel involvement in the Lean production system. So, for 7 years, TMK implemented 686 improvement projects with economic effect of more than 4 billion rubles.
the First Deputy General Director – chief engineer of TMK Vyacheslav Popkov noted that business processes require continuous improvement.
"Today, discussing the practical application of the tools of Lean manufacturing, we primarily consider the issues of interest and involvement of staff in the process improvements. Evaluation of human capital, its development and motivation are the main factors in the system of continuous improvements. And all these processes we are considering in connection with the application of modern systems of digitalization", — he stressed.
as part of a corporate conference, the staff of the division of systems improvement companies held thematic round tables on the issues of digitalization, the business game "Plan 2P", a master class on application of lean logistics. Hosted tours of the manufacturing areas VTZ, which is already successfully implemented the tools of Lean manufacturing.
Volzhsky pipe plant for more than five years successfully used the approaches of Lean production and not casually became a venue for the conference. In the II half of 2018 — I half of 2019 VTZ declared the winner of corporate competition "Lean manufacturing" in the nomination "Leader of Lean production".
