85,000 m2 of solutions for the mining industry: results of the XXXIII International Exhibition "Russian Coal and Mining. The Bowels of Russia" in Novokuznetsk
On June 3-6, 2025, Novokuznetsk hosted the XXXIII International Specialized Exhibition of Mining Technologies "Coal of Russia and Mining. The bowels of Russia". The site brought together three specialized exhibitions: XV "Occupational Safety and Health", X "The Bowels of Russia" and VI "PromTecHexpo".
In 2025, the event significantly expanded the exposition. 715 companies, 84 cities of Russia, including 148 enterprises from 11 cities of Kuzbass presented their solutions. The geography of the participants was not limited to Russian exhibitors – companies from Belarus, China, Turkey, India, as well as European countries presented their developments. In four days, 62,834 people visited the exhibition.
"The exhibition "Russian Coal and Mining. The Bowels of Russia" is a key industry event not only for Kuzbass, but for the whole of Russia. Siberia and the Far East are deservedly considered the leading regions of the mining industry of the Russian Federation: significant mineral deposits are located here, and a significant part of the country's raw material balance is formed. It is valuable that Novokuznetsk, the southern capital of Kuzbass, annually becomes a point of attraction for leading representatives of the mining industry and opens up new horizons for business development and exchange of experience. It's not just about technological progress. The special atmosphere of the event is formed due to the annual rich cultural program, which emphasizes the inextricable link and unity between industry, science and creativity. For the past 33 years, the exhibition has not only been developing and expanding its scope, but has also been continuously enriched with new solutions and approaches, while remaining "deeper than coal and wider than Kuzbass," said Vladimir Vasilyevich Tabachnikov, CEO of Kuzbass Fair.
The scale of the "live" exhibition in 2025 is 85,000 m2 of machinery and equipment for open–pit and underground mining, digital solutions, developments for production automation, spare parts and consumables.
At the opening ceremony, Ilya Seredyuk, Governor of the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, noted the special "character" of the exposition.:
"Kuzbass, as one of the main mining regions of Russia, has long been an "industrial testing region" for many companies. And if earlier an impressive share was occupied by European brands, today the exposition is represented by Russian companies and brands from friendly countries. These are reliable, localized solutions."
One of the most striking premieres is the BELAZ–79770, Russia's first heavy mining grader with a lifting capacity of 70 tons. The machine is equipped with an energy-efficient 600 l/s engine, a ROPS/FOPS system that protects the operator, and a modern blind spot monitoring system. Immediately after the exhibition
