"Mechel" has immortalized the memory of the poet Chelyabinsk-metallurg
a Marble plaque installed at the entrance to the hostel CMP on the street Bohdan Khmelnytsky. It indicates the life of the poet, the inscription reads: "In this house in the 60-ies of the poet, Metallurgist, member of the Union of writers of the USSR, Vyacheslav Alekseevich Bogdanov".
the Poet for fifteen years he worked at the Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant, coke and refractory plants. 10 years, from 1965 to the end of his life, he was head of the literary Association "metallurg". Feature of his poetry – "organic, coming from the depths of the soul the desire to bind together town and country, man and nature, without opposing them to each other" – so characterized his art criticism. In 1975, the poet died in Moscow. In Chelyabinsk regularly held poetry festivals dedicated to the memory of Vyacheslav Bogdanov.
the Opening of the memorial plaque was held with a large gathering of people. The event was attended by the relatives of the poet, of Russian poets and writers, the students read poems, and ended the celebration by laying flowers to the memorial re-opened.
"Vyacheslav Bogdanov have spent many years at Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant, praised the profession in verse. Pleased that the plant has followers of his work – people as passionate about poetry, which is well known in the city," – said the Director for personnel and social programmes of JSC "CHMK" Denis Sazonov.
