TMK has supported more than 900 first-year students within the framework of the Professionalism project
The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) has supported the education of more than 900 first-year students within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" in the Urals, the Volga region and Southern Russia. This year, 12 training courses developed by partner colleges in cooperation with TMK enterprises are available for applicants.
In 2025, 125 people enrolled in the first year of the Volga Polytechnic College (VPT), 75 people enrolled in Kamensk-Ural Polytechnic College (KUPK), 218 people enrolled in the Orsk Technical College named after A.
I. Stetsenko (OTT), 141 people enrolled in the Polevsk Multidisciplinary College (PMT) named after V. I. Nazarov, Chelyabinsk State Industrial and Humanitarian College named after A. V. Yakovlev — 100 people. 250 first-year students also started studying at Taganrog Technical College of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy "Tagmet", Taganrog Aviation College named after V. M. Petlyakov and Volgodonsk Technical College of Metalworking and Mechanical Engineering. Recruitment for some areas of study within the framework of "Professionalism" continues.
The educational programs "Metallurgical production", "Mechanical engineering technology", "Mechatronics and mobile robotics", "Welding production", "Installation, maintenance, operation and repair of industrial equipment" and others are open to students. Curricula are developed with the involvement of specialized specialists from TMK plants. The training is focused on practical training, therefore, with the assistance of the company, colleges and technical schools have installed educational equipment as close as possible to the factory. During their studies, students undergo internships at TMK enterprises, and internships and advanced training courses are conducted for teachers of "Professionalism".
"TMK is actively involved in the Professionalism project, forming a talent pool that will ensure the company's sustainable development for many years to come. The number of first-year students is growing every year. Many of those who are currently studying under programs created with the participation of TMK are ready to link their careers with our enterprises. At the moment, more than a hundred people have already been employed," said Elena Pozolotina, TMK's Deputy General Director for Personnel Management.
The federal project "Professionalism" has been implemented since 2022. The project has created clusters that integrate colleges and business organizations in order to adapt secondary specialized education to the requirements of the modern economy. TMK's participation in the project is supervised by TMK2U Corporate University. Since 2022, the company's partners in the project have been the Volga Pipe Plant (VTZ), the Orsk Machine-Building Plant (OMZ), the Seversky (STZ) and Sinarsky (SinTZ) pipe plants, since 2023.
