TMK launches mobile career guidance application for young people Up2Profit
The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) is launching an open career-oriented mobile application UP2PROFI, designed for high school students and students of professional and higher educational institutions and designed to increase the interest of young people in modern industry. This was announced by Elizaveta Bolgova, Executive Director of TMK2U Corporate University, at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF-2025).
Elizaveta Bolgova spoke at the session "Generation "alpha": formation of personnel sovereignty of the Russian industry", organized by the Russian Society "Znanie". She noted that the company strives to attract talented young people to its enterprises, change the prevailing stereotypes about industrial enterprises and interest them in working in production.
"We conducted a study of the target audience — schoolchildren and students of professional and higher educational institutions — and confirmed the hypothesis that the most popular form of communication among children is mobile devices and instant messengers. That is why we have developed a mobile application for career guidance for young people. It makes it possible to dilute the content they consume on the Internet with new semantic content, to create a new channel of information about production and professions," said Elizaveta Bolgova.
The functionality and design of the application also meet the needs of the audience: a minimalistic design, a news feed, gamification elements with the ability to earn currency and spend it on the market on programs for their own development, meetings with experts, or souvenirs and electronic certificates. Career guidance tests are also integrated into the application, which will allow young people to decide on their future path.
"The application has already received positive feedback as a result of testing from the focus group, and the process of making it publicly available is currently underway. To inform about the product, we work with relevant departments and educational institutions, communicate with parents and students themselves to clarify the goals and details of the project," said Elizaveta Bolgova.
Up2Uprofi will complement the line of online solutions developed by TMK2U, including the SOTA2U HR platform, which is the main distance education platform in the company, and the Mobi2U corporate social network.
