INTERPIPE has mastered the production of passenger and locomotive wheels for the Greek railway operator
The Ukrainian industrial company INTERPIPE continues to expand its range of railway products, offering European partners niche solutions.
This spring, Interpipe mastered production and manufactured passenger wheels with a diameter of 750 mm and locomotive wheels with a diameter of 1016 mm in accordance with the technical requirements of the end user, the Greek railway operator.
In total, the company plans to supply 10 types of railway wheels under a long-term contract. They will be used to repair the customer's rolling stock, in particular passenger and freight wagons, as well as locomotives. At the beginning of July, 5 standard sizes have already been shipped.

- We received this order thanks to our long-time partner in the Greek market, Artemi, a distributor of railway products. Over the years of cooperation, we have built strong partnerships, which has allowed us to gain a foothold in the local rolling stock market. The demand for specific wheel designs and wheel sets in the Greek railway market is often changing, and with it the requirements of our customers. However, we are ready to produce even small batches of niche products, because flexibility and customer orientation are the key to long-term cooperation.
