There is a clear discrepancy in steel prices in the Balkan steel markets. While demand and summer trading activity in Romania remain weak, construction and infrastructure activity in Bulgaria and the Western Balkans continues to support consumption. In Romania, offers on the HRC market are being discussed at a price of about 750-760 euros per ton from the warehouse, while contractual deals are estimated at 710-720 euros per ton. Customer interest in new purchases remains limited due to sufficient inventory and low activity during the summer . . The Turkish supplier's position in the Western Balkans also remains strong. After the shutdown of local production in Albania, the resulting supply shortage increased the importance of producers from outside the region, in particular Turkey. Overall, low trade activity remains a key feature of Romania, while Bulgaria and the Western Balkans show higher physical demand. In the future, market participants will closely monitor the development of trading activity and demand, especially with the onset of September., , , ,
