metalloinvest (the"Company"), a leading manufacturer and supplier of iron ore products and HBI in the world market, one of the regional producers of high quality steel, reported positive indicators in the field of sustainable development, reflected in the assessment of the independent international ratings Agency EcoVadis.
According to the results of actualization of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in 2019 metalloinvest confirmed the compliance of the "Silver" level. The Company's rating has improved by 3 points to 60 points at the average industry score of 43.
the company entered into 12% of the best companies in the world, rated by EcoVadis. Moreover, among producers metalloresurs and steel Company is among the 8% best on the criterion "environment" and 4% better in terms of "Labour rights and human rights".

According to the EcoVadis assessment results identified areas for improvement in the implementation of best CSR practices to achieve higher performance in 2020.
At the end of 2019, the Company improved its position in several rankings of sustainable development. Including the world wildlife Fund (WWF), the company up to 4th from 6th place the year before, again showing the best result among the enterprises of ferrous metallurgy. The company also scored the most points in the section "Disclosure".
In the ranking of the fundamental (environmental and energy) efficiency Interfax-ERA, the company took the 45th place among the 150 largest companies of Russia and Kazakhstan. Moreover, among the five largest Russian steelmaking companies of metalloinvest became the second.

EcoVadis, an independent rating Agency specializing in the rankings of sustainable development, which are used by companies in commercial activity, including supply chains, interaction with banks and financial matters. The EcoVadis methodology is based on international standards of sustainable development and CSR, including the Global reporting initiative, the UN Global compact and ISO 26000. EcoVadis assesses companies on four groups: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In 2018, the company received debut CSR rating from EcoVadis.
