Specialists from the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant PJSC, part of the Mechel Group) took part in the judging of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.

The jury consisted of CMP engineers with extensive production experience: Deputy Head of the R&D Center for Rolling Redistribution Sergey Ogorodnikov and Senior Foreman for Oxygen Converter Shop Technology Konstantin Tumarev. The plant's professionals have been invited to the jury of this competition for over 5 years.

The CASE-IN Championship is a team competition in solving engineering cases devoted to real production problems. The competition is held among university students. In Chelyabinsk, the organizer of the championship is the South Ural State University (SUSU). This year, 14 teams fought for the victory, many of them are students of the target recruitment of the ChMK.

“Participation in this kind of international competition is a very good opportunity for students to prove themselves. Test your strengths, abilities and skills. Professional success depends not only on the knowledge gained in the course of study, but also on the ability to apply it in practice. The solution of real production problems in the form of cases is one of the most promising areas of personnel training.
