At the third stage of a copper electrolysis plant JSC "Uralelectromed" (metallurgical complex of UMMC) has started installation of ceiling panels of the main body of the building. Contractors "Uralmetallurgmontazh-2" completed the laying of plates 34 of 488 planned before the end of the year.

in Parallel at the construction site the installation of metal trusses that will hold a roof structure of the building Department. Currently has 6 farm structures 48, part of which was made in the workshop of centralized repair of JSC "Uralelectromed". In the manufacture of the metal structures are sandblasted clean, and then obespylivajut, are degreased and primed with two component epoxy composition for protecting metal from corrosion.

As explained by the chief specialist on the reconstruction of the copper electrolysis plant Stanislav Manin, concrete work foundations of the zero cycle is completed by 95%. The whole complex of works of the zero cycle is scheduled for completion this summer.

in addition, the contractors have installed 70 of the 72 columns of the main frame and started digging into the tank passage under the foundations of the built-in electrical to accommodate power equipment.

currently, the project Institute "uralmekhanobr" is the design of process, ventilation and automation systems that will be used in the third stage.

Note that the third phase will also run on unsupported technology using cathodes made from stainless steel. The new facility will house one circulating system, consisting of 224 electrolysis baths with attendant process equipment (tanks, pumps, heat exchangers). The project also includes installation of two automated lines of machines anode preparation machines and anode scrap washing.

Recall that in February 2012 JSC "Uralelektromed" has commissioned the first modern plant with the capacity of 160 thousand tons of copper cathode per year. In may 2018 was launched the second phase with the same capacity. The new facility will allow the company to issue a total of up to 400 thousand tons of copper cathodes per year on unsupported technology.
