Pyshminskiy metallurg became one of the best Russian freedivers

Head of gas rescue service building were renewed JSC "Uralelectromed" (metallurgical complex of UMMC) Alexander Maksimov won the bronze medal at the Cup of Russia in underwater sports (freediving). Despite minimal preparation for the tournament, Alexander managed to hold his breath under water in static position for 7 minutes, 46 seconds, giving athletes from St. Petersburg. This result, of course, below his personal record (8.40 min), which was once considered the best in Rossii.
– full training, I was able to start only in late January, I had to boost the preparation. In dynamic disciplines failed to reach a competitive result, and therefore was outside the winners. But in their signature discipline – static breath – I managed to do quite well and get a medal, noted after the speech, Alexander Maksimov.
the Competitions were held in Saint-Petersburg. In them have taken part about 100 sportsmen from Sverdlovsk, Saratov, Chelyabinsk regions, Krasnoyarsk territory, Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The participants were competing in 8 disciplines: diving breath-hold at speed, diving to breath in length and the static delay of breath.
two months later, Alexander Maximov will take part in the Championship of Russia on free-diving in St. Petersburg and wants to set the record of the country. These competitions will be a qualifying stage for the world Championship, which will be held in Serbia this summer.
