CMI has successfully developed industrial tourism
MMK first opened for guests. The site of one of the leading metallurgical enterprises of the country was regularly visited by colleagues and partners – the consumers, suppliers of equipment and raw materials, representatives of other steel companies. Young Magnitogorsk resident could also see the legend of the domestic industry: in the framework of vocational work of the children's tours special attention was paid.
"Steel route" improve the system of services works. Today, a fascinating trip on any of four specially designed tour routes can make everyone: both adults and children. In the course of the city's "taming of fire", "Steel evolution", "dad at work", "visit to metallurgists" guests can appreciate the scale of production, to learn about the features of metallurgical production, the history of the CMI, its achievements and development prospects. In particular, the tourists to demonstrate the company's Museum, Russia's largest blast furnace shop and a unique set of plate mill 5000 is one of the most powerful in the world.
CMI security issues are under special control, so before the excursion the guests of the enterprise undergo introductory briefing on safety (even the little visitors in front of a bus tour through the plant wearing helmets), they show a specially created video that talks about the rules of safe behavior on the enterprise. Clarity, informational richness and clarity of the video note all visitors and colleagues from other steel companies used as example for creating your own videos. Video instruction creative idea, conceptual content, and production itself is the result of joint work of employees of CMI and Magnitogorsk of the TV company "TV-IN".
In October last year, the Magnitogorsk iron and steel works became the winner of V all-Russian tourism award "route of the year". The company has received at once two diplomas: first place for best children's route and second best route on the current production. MMK plans to further develop industrial tourism, opening new tour routes. There are also plans to develop virtual tours of the plant.
