SHAAZ has manufactured cooling unit the original layout for the company Generac Power Systems
Shadrinsk (Kurgan oblast)
JSC "Shadrinsk automobile units plant" (Enterprise of machine-building complex of UMMC) produced for the company Geerac Power Systems (USA) a prototype of a new cooling block layout "side by side".
the Unit, consisting of radiator of cooling system and heat exchanger intercooling (tone in), designed for generator sets with a capacity of 750 kW, equipped with an engine Perkis volume of 18.1 L.
– To the new product brought increased requirements for temperature, airflow and test pressure, while its dimensions are smaller than the blocks which we supply company Geerac. In this regard, has been applied to a number of design decisions, - said the head of the Department for radiators and aggregates the control of the chief designer Vladimir Turchaninov. – First, we refused to intermediate the mounting plate and increased depth of the cores. It is 190 mm, which significantly exceeds the standard. Accordingly, the area of the cooling surface of the heat exchangers has also increased.
Technical parameters of the engine and the bodywork of the generating set due to block design. It has an original arrangement of "side by side", that is, "side by side". From the standard, when the radiator is tone in, the new block is distinguished by the fact that both of the heat exchanger are located in the same plane. This contributes to the fact that coming out of the tone in the air does not heat the radiator, and the efficiency of the cooler increases.
Manufactured heat exchangers for the so-called "stick" technology that ensures their high mechanical strength. This allows heat exchangers to operate at elevated pressures, temperatures and costs teplonositelya.
On Ease new heat exchangers of the cooling unit passed thermal test in the wind tunnel and currently sent overseas for testing in the composition of the generator set. According to their results, will be given a certificate of compliance with the cooling unit the requirements and made the decision to start serial production.
