The fence on CMP has turned into an art gallery under the open sky

The fence of one of the shops of the Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant (OJSC CHMK, enters into Group "Mechel") was decorated with reproductions of 39 paintings of the Ural artists. The total length of the makeshift art gallery was 160 meters, and the height of the paintings is almost 3 meters. In many paintings the artists have depicted the important stages of development of CMP.

Among the authors are famous in the region for painters like Fyodor Visa, Valentin Katchalov, Stanislav Kachalsky, Alexander Kharin, Basil Neyasov, Nikolay Pogrebnyak, Faith, Pashmina and many more. There are paintings by unknown artists. Of the 39 paintings, about half – images of plants, for example, "the Construction of blast furnace No. 2", "Morning melting", as well as portraits of employees. The other part of the scenery.


"Some of the original paintings, copies of which we have decorated the territory of the enterprise located in the shops of the plant, other originals have settled in museums and private collections in the Urals and in Moscow. We were able to make copies of these works. Now, thanks to an improvised gallery, any employee will be able to join the history of native enterprise", – noted the Director of Department on work with personnel of JSC "CHMK" Denis Sazonov.
