Ural scientists have upgraded the technology of flotation of feldspar


Scientists of JSC "uralmekhanobr" (scientific-research and design Institute UMMC) jointly with JSC "Uralchimplast" (Sverdlovsk region, Nizhny Tagil) suggested an alternative flotation of feldspar for JSC "vishnevogorsky GOK" (Chelyabinsk region, Kaslinsky district, settlement Vishnevogorsk), replacing the used by the Industrialists currently imported reagent-collector for a new domestic. The laboratory results confirmed the possibility of reducing the excess loss of recoverable component and increase its extract in product concentrate.





– We worked in close cooperation with the scientists of "Uralchimplast", – said the head of the laboratory ore dressing division, ore dressing and special methods of research, JSC "uralmekhanobr" Nicholas Shikhov. – The specialists of "Uralchimplast", we synthesized a new reagent, similar in composition to currently. New reagent modified with additives that enhance its collective properties. The staff of our Institute conducted flotation tests of the proposed reagents in the laboratory with the aim of obtaining optimal parameters for extraction of feldspar.





the search for suitable reagents took about 7 months. This time it was tested about 10 different chemicals and around 50 of technological regimes. The research was conducted with the participation of representatives of JSC "Uralchimplast".





After production of a pilot batch of the new reagent-collector will be carried out industrial tests on its use at the processing plant Vishnevogorsky GOK.
