As requested by the industry: food safety
Karcher has developed a cleaning system for tankers for the transportation of molasses. The project was commissioned by Technostroy Company LLC, which provides commercial cleaning services for tank trucks involved in the transportation of food raw materials.
The technological cycle of processing provides for steaming, washing with hot water (flow 3 m 3 /h under a pressure of 100 bar) using chemicals, rinsing and drying with hot air. Heating is carried out by superheated water using a heat exchanger, which significantly reduces energy consumption. The complex, located on the territory of the industrial park "Rosva" (Kaluga region), also includes 5 manual washing stations under a pressure of 160 bar with a flow of 1 m 3 /h for external cleaning of tankers and a solution for cleaning flexible drain lines.
The project started in 2017 and is currently undergoing commissioning. The services of a new washing complex for a nearby enterprise for deep processing of grain - “Biotechnological complex“ Rosva ”, are especially relevant. This is a closed-cycle enterprise with a grain warehouse with a capacity of 170 thousand tons, an industrial complex with a processing capacity of 250 thousand tons of wheat per year and a logistics center.
Similar enterprises are designed and launched all over Russia, as the grain harvest is growing every year. For example, in 2017, a record for the entire history of 134 million tons [1] was harvested, while the export of wheat, according to analysts' estimates, increased to 43.3 million tons [2].
“The domestic market is completely saturated, the share of exports is growing steadily, but some part of the grain remains unrealized, since it does not allow long-term storage. Many experts see the solution in the transition to the production of deeply processed products - this will allow avoiding problems with logistics from the regions and bringing a product with high added value to the world market. However, given the prospects for export development, one should bear in mind the need to comply with strict international safety standards. That is why tankers used to transport gluten, molasses and other products of deep grain processing must be kept perfectly clean. In this regard, there is an increasing need for high-quality and reliable equipment, in particular, for multifunctional washing systems, ”commented Roman Polosin, head of the sales department of industrial equipment at Kerkher LLC.
