Kirovsky plant OTSM is developing a new kind of import-substituting products
Kirovskiy Zavod OTSM (a part of UGMK-OTSM, combining the assets of UMMC in the processing of non-ferrous metals) is developing a new kind of import-substituting products.
the Project team of engineers, researchers, production managers and workers kzotsm mastered the casting of ingots and finished products of copper-Nickel alloys of MNZH5-1 and МНЖМц11-1,1-0,6. The experimental work lasted about 8 months. The result produced a pilot batch of hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheets with a width of 1000 mm and 1150, which are in demand for shipbuilding and other industries.
the Alloys of copper and Nickel, alloyed with iron and manganese, are not prone to stress corrosion cracking, which is especially important in the manufacture of products in contact with sea water and other aggressive media. Other consumer benefits include their high ductility, electrical and thermal conductivity inherent in the alloys with a high copper content. From a broad copper-Nickel sheets are made products of fire-prevention water supply system, hydraulic and heat transfer systems, feed water systems, pipelines for the transportation of gases and liquids, steam not only in shipbuilding, but also instrumentation and electrotehnica.
prototypes are manufactured in accordance with customer requirements and successfully passed the quality check at the factory. The leaves are sent to the consumer for industrial test. The development of the Kirov plant GCMS produce industrial batches of copper-Nickel sheets with a width of 1000 mm will fully meet the demand of Russian industrial enterprises in the production and solve the problem of import substitution in the industry of non-ferrous metal.
