Chelyabinsk zinc plant increases sales of indium solder

the Chelyabinsk zinc plant (metallurgical complex of UMMC) has continued to increase the volume of sales. So, for 5 months of the year sales Poin-52 (indium solder) increased by 400% compared to sales for the whole of 2019.
"the Client base is growing steadily, both inside and outside of Russia, – said the economist sales of the commercial Department of the Chelyabinsk zinc plant Alexander Churikov. Now the focus has shifted to domestic suppliers."
Dynamics of production allows to meet the increased demand. "We can produce Poin-52 in almost any form convenient to the consumer – wire, ingots, bars – continues Alexander Churikov – the Main advantage of this alloy is the possibility of completely filling and sealing the tiny pores and voids of products with the low melting point. This allows to combine fine products, afraid of high temperature, for example, of copper".
indium is a byproduct of zinc production. The main application area of India is the manufacture of semiconductors. Also indium is used in the manufacture of electronic equipment, LCD screens: TVs, monitors, laptops, tablets, cell phones. Based alloys India are of high conductivity, ductility and ease to use this metal effectively lowers the melting point in alloys and for brazing alloys to fused plugs, and the additive, even a small percentage of indium improves the performance of solders used in electronics Assembly.
