New settlers will appear in Lake Svetloye and the Lozva River - young carp and sterlet

As part of the program of environmental protection measures of JSC "Svyatogor" (enterprises of the metallurgical complex of UMMC), new settlers will appear in Lake Svetloye (GO Severouralsk) and the Lozva River (GO Ivdel) - young carp and sterlet.
These activities are included in the plan of artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources of the Nizhneobsk territorial administration of the Federal Agency for Fishery.
“This event was preceded by a long and painstaking work on the survey of water bodies, - said the head of the environmental department - Irina Bichukina, head of the ecology department of Svyatogor JSC. - In particular, in the course of the study of Lake Svetloye, which is located 3.5 km from the village of Vsevolodo-Blagodatskoe, Severouralskiy GO, the exceeding of maximum permissible concentrations for fishery reservoirs according to the investigated chemical indicators was not noted.
The survey was carried out by scientists Ural branch of the federal state budgetary scientific institution "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (Yekaterinburg). In particular, hydrochemical studies of water and an assessment of the state of ichthyofauna were carried out. Moreover, only the hydrochemical characteristics of the lake. Svetloye included about 20 indicators.
“Based on the data obtained by the specialists of the Basin Fish Conservation Department, it was concluded that it is more expedient to release 6.6 thousand juvenile carp into the waters of Lake Svetloye. This type of fish will be purchased from ZAO Chebarkul Fish Factory. As for the Lozva River, we will launch 10 thousand pieces of young sterlet grown in Aquakultura LLC (Chelyabinsk) into this waterway, "Irina Albertovna summed up.
Stocking activities are scheduled for September of the current year. Currently, the administrations of Severouralsk and Ivdel determine the places of release of juveniles.
