UMMC tennis players Andrei Gachina, Alexander Shibaev and Jonathan Groth proved to be stronger than Orenburg Fakel-Gazprom following the results of two matches and brought the team the fifth title of Russian champion.
The game began with what ended the day before: Gachina came out to play against Vladimir Samsonov. And the result was the same, confident 3: 0 in favor of our athlete.
Alexander Shibaev and Dmitry Ovcharov exchanged victories in games at the start of the match, and then the Fakel player gave his team a chance to compete in this match, having won the next two game segments - 1: 3.
Jonathan Groth came to the table for victory not only in this game, but also in the championship, which he showed from the very first minutes of the game. However, having won two sets, in the third he was unlucky, and Denis Ivonin reduced the score. The fourth game became the most "valid" one: the opponents played point for point, bringing the score to 10:10. Grot turned out to be more cold-blooded in this situation - 11:10, and UMMC has already become the winner of the championship.
However, the match continued, and Gachina and Ovcharov came to the table. Only at the tie-break was the winner determined, Ovcharov became it - 2: 3.
The fifth match, which did not decide anything, never happened, Alexander Shibaev withdrew due to an injury that tormented him throughout the play -off. "Fakel " won the game, but UMMC became the best team in the championship.
