The concept of the museum and educational complex will be developed by Ascreen in a consortium with the German museum bureau Atelier Brueckner and the developer of interactive exhibitions, Huettinger. The initiator and investor of the project is Viktor Filippovich Rashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works. The museum and educational complex will begin work in 2025. It is expected that the new space will become a cultural and educational center of the city's life, a gathering point for citizens, people striving for development. The complex will include a museum of the history of metallurgy, a science museum, a space for changing exhibitions, children's and adult educational centers, public spaces, and coworking. The planned area of the complex is about 24 thousand square meters. m. The exposition of the Museum of the History of Metallurgy will tell about the role of metal in human civilization, will reveal a whole range of topics in the natural sciences: from the structure of the universe, physical phenomena to the latest achievements of astronautics and robotics, and will be interesting for both children and adults. The project will be a consortium of the Russian engineering company Ascreen, the German museum bureau Atelier Brueckner and the developer of interactive exhibitions Huettinger. The project team is confident that such a combination of international and Russian experience, combining the strengths of each of the consortium companies will create one of the best world-class museums. The company's projects include the Oil Pavilion at VDNKh, the Universe of Water Museum, the Museum of Money in St. Petersburg. Atelier Brueckner specializes in museum scenography and is one of the most eminent designers of museum expositions in the world. Atelier Brueckner is the winner of more than 100 prestigious awards, including Red Dot, Cannes Lions, iF Awards and others. Among the projects of the bureau are the BMW Museum, the European Parliament, the Arab Center for World Culture. Huettinger has been planning, design and production of interactive solutions and expositions for over 60 years, and specializes in science museums. The company's projects include the Macau Science and Discovery Center, the Science Museum in London, and the Hong Kong Science Museum. Plans for the Attraction project are included in the Magnitogorsk development strategy until 2035. The development of the territory of 400 hectares will proceed in stages. Construction work on the site has already started this summer, and the first objects are planned to be commissioned in 2022 by Metallurgist Day. Among them are a significant part of the park, a boulevard and a sports center. It is expected that "Attraction" will attract up to 3 million visitors a year. The project is expected to be fully completed by 2025. Then all the grounds of the "Attraction" will start working, including the indoor ice arena and numerous outdoor leisure centers. At the moment, the design of the main buildings and the territory of the park is underway, work has begun on the laying of temporary roads and the arrangement of construction sites.
