MMK develops a quality management system
At the moment, PJSC MMK has 57 valid certificates of conformity for its products, the legitimacy of which is constantly confirmed by periodic inspection checks by Certification bodies. In PJSC MMK, the following management systems have been introduced and certified for compliance with international standards: QMS: ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and STO Gazprom 9001; EMS: ISO 14001; SUPBOT: OHSAS 18001. In September 2020, certification for compliance with the new version of ISO 45001 is planned. PJSC MMK uses the following methods and tools for monitoring and developing management systems: integrated internal audits of the quality management system (QMS), environmental management systems (EMS) , industrial safety and labor protection management systems (SUPBOT) conducted by the group's specialists on the quality system. QMS audits include System audits, process audits and product audits. In addition, in the production departments, the specialists of the product control department and technical services of the plant conduct product audits three times a week, which are carried out according to a specially developed single checklist. Based on the checklists, reports are prepared on a monthly basis - summary results of audits, which are sent to the top management and interested structural divisions of PJSC MMK. These results are also an integral part of the analysis of the performance of production structural divisions in terms of quality for the month. Currently, PJSC MMK is implementing a project to conduct multi-level “comprehensive” audits of production areas of steel-making and rolling shops. Audits are carried out by representatives of production structural divisions, product control department, technical services, specialists of external acceptance of the plant. Audits are carried out weekly according to checklists developed individually for each technological unit of the shop. The "Unified information system for managing corrective actions based on the results of claims work" has been introduced, which ensures prompt response of shop workers to emerging problems with product quality. The system also makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of the corrective and deterrent actions being developed and to control the personal participation of the working group members in the development and coordination of deterrent actions. A project is being implemented on an information system for monitoring and improving technological discipline in the shops of steelmaking and rolling production, aimed at personalizing the responsibility of technological personnel for maintaining technological process, taking into account the sorting of low-quality metal products. The system implements a "personal account of the technologist", in which the employee conducting the technological process, as well as his manager, sees the violations committed during the technological process and the percentage of quality products minus the volume of products that have fallen into the sorting due to the employee's fault. and target indicators (KPIs) are monitored. Data reflecting the degree of achievement of target indicators (KPIs) by each employee is available for employees and shop managers in the “personal office of the technologist”, and summary information on the shops is sent weekly to top management and interested structural units of PJSC MMK. The implementation of this set of measures will allow PJSC MMK, without increasing the cost of quality control, provide its consumers, including the leading automobile and pipe plants of the Russian Federation, with high-quality sheet products and implement the strategic initiative of PJSC MMK - to become the No. 1 supplier for the most demanding customers of the automotive industry in the domestic market ...
