"Svyatogor" released carp fry into Lake Svetloye
Severouralsk (Sverdlovsk region)
JSC "Svyatogor" (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of the UMMC) released into the waters of Lake Svetloye, which is located 3.5 km from the village of Vsevolodo-Blagodatskoye, Severouralskiy GO, 6,600 carp fry ... The restoration of biological resources took place within the framework of the environmental protection program of Svyatogor JSC. For the ninth year in a row, the town-forming enterprise of Krasnouralsk has been replenishing the biological resources of rivers and reservoirs of the Sverdlovsk region in the territories of its presence.
- Today we see a natural result of the work that has been going on over the past years, - said the director of Svyatogor JSC Dmitry Tropnikov. - I am sure that the carp will take root in this wonderful lake.
This event was preceded by a long and painstaking preparation. In particular, in August-September last year, scientists from the Ural branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (Yekaterinburg) conducted a survey of this water body. Based on the data obtained, it was decided to release juvenile carp into the waters of Lake Svetloye. This type of fish was purchased from CJSC Chebarkulskiy Fish Factory.
“For these purposes, we raised fry weighing 90-100 grams each,” said Gulniso Ryazanova, senior fish breeder of CJSC Chebarkulsky Fish Factory. - The fish was raised naturally and has a strong immune system. I think that in the spring, after hibernation, it will grow rapidly, especially since there is an excellent forage base for carp.
“This is the first stocking of fish in the lakes of our district,” stressed Vasily Matyushenko, head of Severouralsk. - I would like to thank the regional administration, the regional ministry of natural resources, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and, of course, Svyatogor for the opportunity to contribute to the restoration of the region's ecosystem.
