Izhstal-TNP expands production of axes

OOO Izhstal-TNP (a subsidiary of the Izhstal plant, part of the Mechel Group) has mastered the production of new types of axes made of special spring steel. In the 1st quarter of 2019, the plant manufactured 212 thousand axes of all types, which is 11% more than in the same period last year. In 2018, 725 thousand pieces of various types of axes were produced.

Axes are made by forging using modern metalworking technologies, which ensures high density, guaranteed angle and sharpness of the blade. Special steel is smelted for them at the Izhstal plant. The ax is made of hardwood and treated with a protective and decorative coating. Thanks to its ergonomic shape and grinding, the ax lies comfortably in the hands and does not slip during operation.

The axes are produced in a standard set, in a protective leather case for the blade and in a soft Avtomobilist casing. Experimental work is underway to master the complete set of an ax in a plastic case and a Hunter casing.

Izhstal-TNP has been producing axes since 1953. Over the past 15 years, the production volume has exceeded 15 million units. At present, the technology of production of 13 types of axes has been mastered, including construction, hunting, tourist and meat-cutting axes. In addition, Izhstal-TNP produces hacksaws and saws for wood. The company's products are supplied to various regions of Russia and the CIS countries. The high quality of Izhstal-TNP products is confirmed by diplomas and certificates from regional and specialized exhibitions. In 2017, the company's axes and hacksaws were awarded silver medals of the All-Russian competition “100 Best Goods of Russia”.
