Metalloinvest is building a crushing and conveyor complex at Mikhailovsky GOK
Metalloinvest continues construction of a crushing and conveyor complex (DCC) at Mikhailovsky GOK. At present, the crushing and transfer plant is being actively erected. This building, located at a depth of more than 200 meters, will accept ore from heavy trucks, crush it to a fraction of 150 mm and deliver it through an underground gallery to a steeply inclined conveyor.
In terms of size and configuration, a steeply inclined conveyor The DCC will become unique in Russia: its inclination angle is 37 degrees, lifting height - 215 meters. To transport ore under such a vertical slope, a sandwich-type conveyor was used: with two belts - a load-carrying one and a pressure belt. At the moment, 8 out of 13 sections have been installed.
At the same time, construction of a warehouse complex, installation of a stacker and external power supply lines is underway.
In total, the builders will have to lay almost 35.5 thousand cubic meters. meters of concrete, carry out the installation of more than 2 thousand tons of metal structures and install more than 4 thousand tons of equipment. Large-scale construction at the facilities of the complex is carried out by the enterprise of the Metalloinvest company - LLC Rudstroy.
Commissioning of the DCC in the southern part of the MGOK open pit is scheduled for 2020. Productivity - about 15 million tons of ore per year.
The DCC being built in the southern part of the pit will deliver iron ore without transport from the lowest horizons to the surface. The launch and operation of the complex will significantly reduce the cost of transporting rock mass by optimizing the transport scheme of the open pit. The number of transshipment points and loading equipment will be reduced, the distance of transportation by rail will be reduced.
The second stage of the project will be the construction of a crushing and conveyor complex in the central part of the open pit. The capacity of this conveyor will be 35 million tons per year. Engineering surveys and elaboration of documentation for the supply of equipment are already underway.
Metalloinvest will allocate about 11.5 billion rubles for the construction of two conveyor complexes in the open pit of the Mikhailovsky GOK. It is planned that about 280 jobs will be created.
“Metalloinvest is implementing important investment programs at Mikhailovsky GOK aimed at improving the quality of products and production processes,” said Sergey Kretov, Managing Director of MGOK. “Thanks to the use of conveyor technology, we will involve additional reserves of high quality ore in the development and increase the efficiency of the mining and transport complex”.
