Metalloinvest installs 106 recirculators in buses for employees of Lebedinsky GOK and OEMK
Metalloinvest purchased 106 ultraviolet air recirculators for passenger buses at Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant and Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant named after A.A. Ugarova. The devices are installed in vehicles that bring employees of the enterprises to and from work to Gubkin and Stary Oskol. About 9 thousand people use their services every day. The total cost of the purchase amounted to more than 4 million rubles.
Recirculators operate in two modes: when there are people in the cabin, they disinfect the air, in the absence of people, they ozonize. Air disinfection will reduce the risk of illness during the coronavirus pandemic and exacerbation of respiratory diseases.
Installing recirculators is part of a package of measures that the Company is taking to protect the health of its employees.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the buses of the factories have been disinfected daily. Handrails, floors and seats are wiped with a special solution. During the journey, employees must wear protective masks or respirators.
Thermometry is carried out at the checkpoints of LGOK and OEMK. The premises are equipped with recirculators, reservoirs and dispensers with disinfectants. Enhanced sanitary cleaning is being carried out, the necessary markings have been applied, and a mandatory mask regime has been introduced.
Employees were transferred to remote work, whose constant presence at workplaces is not due to production processes, and employees from the risk group were transferred to remote work or self-isolation while maintaining remuneration. Work shift schedules have been changed, barrage testing for COVID-19 is being carried out: employees who have a large number of social contacts for production needs are subject to examination every 14 days.
Metalloinvest's development strategy is based on the principles of sustainable development, including ensuring the availability and improving the quality of medical services in the cities and regions of the Company's presence. The importance of this direction in modern conditions is growing. Metalloinvest provided additional support to healthcare institutions in the regions where it operates for a total amount of RUB 2 billion. The funds were allocated for equipping with high-tech medical equipment - computed tomographs, artificial lung ventilation devices, blood gas analyzers, oxygen concentrators, and specialized vehicles. Additional means of personal protection and disinfection for medical personnel, medicines are purchased.
