Rationalizers of Ural Steel proposed 12 projects in the field of energy saving with an expected effect of more than 90 million rubles

At Ural Steel (part of the Metalloinvest company), the winners of the qualifying round of Metalloinvest's corporate competition for the best rationalization proposal in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency have been determined. Twelve projects were admitted to the final of the competition with a total expected economic effect from their implementation of more than 90 million rubles per year.

The evaluation of the production efficiency of the ideas received was carried out by specialists of the technical and financial services of the plant. They noted that this year the number of participants in the competition and the number of projects that made it to the final became a record for 10 years of its holding.

The maximum economic effect of 51 million rubles is the idea of the design group of the oxygen compressor shop to improve the energy efficiency of compressors in the air supply system of the plant's divisions.

The largest number of proposals came from the rationalizers of the combined heat and power plant. The cost-free projects of the coke plant surveyors, the metallurgical equipment repair shop and the first sheet-rolling shop were highly appreciated.

Projects were also proposed to reduce the consumption of electricity in the electric steel-making shop and steam for deaerating water in the heat and gas supply shop, reducing the consumption of natural gas for drying sludge and saving electricity on dust-collecting equipment in the sinter shop.

The selection of rationalization proposals is being completed at other enterprises of Metalloinvest. The winners of the competition will be determined by the end of November. Along with the rest of the finalists, the Novotroitsk innovators will claim bonuses in the amount of 150, 100 and 50 thousand rubles. In addition, 15 months after the introduction of the winning rationalization proposals, the authors are entitled to a one-time remuneration in the amount of 10% of the economic effect received during the year.

The competition for rationalization proposals in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency has been held at Metalloinvest's mills since 2011. It is aimed at attracting miners and metallurgists to the development and implementation of energy-saving technologies.
