Gaysky GOK continues to upgrade mining equipment
Gai (Orenburg Region)
Since the beginning of this year, PJSC Gaysky GOK (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex) has received more than 15 units of self-propelled mining equipment. In particular, the underground mine commissioned two Boomer S1D drilling rigs on a pneumatic wheel drive with a diesel drive, equipped with one manipulator with a hydraulic rock drill (manufactured by Atlas Copco, Sweden). Since the beginning of the year, the open-pit mine has received eight 55-ton BelAZ trucks and a loader from the American company CATERPILLAR. The mine construction department of the Mill received two drilling rigs and a LK-1M LHD.
In addition, for the first time, the Mill purchased a Sadvik DS311 self-propelled anchoring drilling rig (manufacturer "Sadvik Miig ad Rock Techology ", Finland). It is a compact powered rock bolter that provides an excellent roof bolting length to roof height ratio and can be safely operated by a single operator and can be bolted from 1.5m to 3m in length. During operation, the operator stays on a stable platform in a FOPS /ROPS certified FOPS /ROPS cab. Powered roof support provides productivity, long-term performance and excellent technical condition of the bolts.
The new rock bolting rig is currently being run in the mill's underground mine. The theory and practice of working with the new technology was taught to the specialists of the underground mine by a representative of Sadvik. All trained operators, having passed the exams, received the appropriate certificates.
According to the specialists of the plant, the new installation first of all freed the tunnellers from physical labor when securing mine workings with anchors, which was previously done manually using cement-sand solution. With the commissioning of the new equipment, the fastening process has become fully automated - the installation, controlled by one operator, drills holes for anchors and installs them immediately, saving the time and effort of the tunnellers. Since the beginning of June this year, the plant expects to receive CAT-R1700G mine loaders with a carrying capacity of 14 tons and AD-30 mine dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 30 tons from the American company CATERPILLAR. The commissioning of this equipment will significantly facilitate and increase the productivity of ore mining.
In general, in 2019, the total amount of financing from Gaysky GOK for the purchase of mining equipment under plans for the replacement and modernization of worn out equipment that is not included in the estimate construction projects will amount to more than 2.3 billion rubles.
