Metalloinvest has twice won awards at the Champions of Good Deeds 2020 competition

The Metalloinvest company was awarded in two nominations of the sixth All-Russian competition of projects in the field of corporate volunteering “Champions of Good Deeds” - 2020.

Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant (part of company "Metalloinvest") received the first place in the "Skillful volunteering" nomination for the "Efficiency Champion" project. It provides students with the opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience during an educational quest on the application of lean manufacturing technologies.

In the "Mentoring" nomination, the second place was taken by volunteers of another Metalloinvest enterprise - Mikhailovsky Ore Mining and Processing Plant named after A. Varicheva. Their project is aimed at helping children with disabilities learn and organize their leisure time.

The award ceremony was held as part of the IX International Forum "Corporate Volunteering: Business and Society". It was organized by the Managers Association and the National Council for Corporate Volunteering. with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Anastasia Savelyeva, Head of the Sustainable Development Department of Metalloinvest, moderated the discussion on the topic “Corporate Volunteers - the Driving Force of Cities”.

Speakers from Russia, Germany and Japan took part in this conversation. Experts from SAP, Airbus, Severstal, Norilsk Nickel, CrossFields, IAC Berlin, You Social and the Children's Foresight Foundation. Solutions were presented that demonstrate the leadership role of volunteers in urban change - from daily relief actions to innovative technologies for people with disabilities.

Metalloinvest's volunteers are drivers of positive changes. Movement "Respond!" was launched in 2018 and now has more than 1600 volunteers, who have more than 150 promotions and events on their account.

As part of the All-Russian Mutual Aid Campaign #WeTogether, Metalloinvest volunteers processed over 2,000 personal requests from elderly citizens and collected donations in the amount of 1 million rubles, which the Company doubled.

The Moscow International Forum "Corporate Volunteering: Business and Society" was held on November 23 in the multimedia press center of the MIA "Russia Today" in an online format. It brought together over 90 experts from 11 countries of the world. The speakers shared case studies, highlighted trends in the social sphere, discussed the potential of sustainable practices for business development and analyzed the experience of corporate volunteering acquired in the context of COVID-19.
