Metalloinvest awarded the highest category in the corporate philanthropy rating

Metalloinvest was awarded the highest category in the Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy 2020 rating presented by the Donors Forum Association of Granting Organizations.

The rating includes 37 companies. The A + category includes participants who managed to form the most effective practices and a systematic approach to charitable activities and social investments.

The Corporate Philanthropy Leaders project took place for the 13th time this year. Its main task is to find the best examples of social programs and create preconditions for the exchange of practices and the dissemination of information in the business environment.

The rating jury includes experts from government authorities, business, associations, educational and expert institutions. When summarizing its results, it was assessed whether the standards for conducting charitable activities and social investments are inscribed in the company's DNA, how clearly the goals and objectives are spelled out, how the management system for these processes is built, how well the documentation is developed, work with stakeholders, whether the company evaluates its social investments and etc.

In 2020, the Corporate Responsibility Leaders project is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Grants Fund, the UN in Russia, the Association enterprises of computer and information technologies (APKIT), the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the SKOLKOVO Foundation. For the first time, EY in Russia became the partner of the methodology. Media partner of the project is Kommersant Publishing House.

Metalloinvest makes social investments and implements charitable programs, relying on the needs of local communities in order to create a stable favorable social environment and maintain a comfortable standard of living in the regions of its presence in the long term.

In 2019, spending on social projects amounted to 5.9 billion rubles. The key areas of social support in 2019 were the development of the socio-cultural environment, support for education, improving the quality of healthcare services, support for mass, professional and children's sports, as well as support for the population.
