ChMK has manufactured rolled products for the construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg highway

The Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (PJSC Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, part of the Mechel Group) has manufactured rolled metal products for the construction of sections 7 and 8 of the M-11 Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed highway.

ChMK's alloy rebar is supplied for the construction of bridges, interchanges and road infrastructure on sections of the highway in the Leningrad and Novgorod regions.

The rolled metal was supplied by Mechel Group's metal trading company, Mechel-Service.

The toll motorway will have from two to five lanes in each direction and an estimated speed of 150 km /h. One hundred bridges will be built along it. The road will pass through the territories of the Central and Northwestern Federal Districts, through the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad regions, bypassing all settlements. Commissioning of a high-speed highway with a total length of 669 km is planned for 2019.
