Mass vaccination of workers began at UMMC
Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk region)
Today, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, as well as throughout the country, has begun mass vaccination against coronavirus infection. UMMC, being a socially responsible employer, cares about the health of its employees, so the company's enterprises are no exception.
The first batch of Gam-Covid-Vak ("Sputnik V") vaccine was received through the licensed organization UMMC-Health.
The head of the operational headquarters told about the vaccination campaign to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in UMMC Aleksey Smirnov: “Employees who have no medical contraindications will be vaccinated with their voluntary consent. This is preceded by the delivery of medical tests for the presence of class G and M immunoglobulins (antibodies) to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Based on the results of laboratory tests, a medical examination by a physician is carried out, and the doctor decides on the vaccination of the employee. ”
After the employee gives the vaccine in two stages, antibodies are formed within three weeks. As the research results show, after that the risk of the disease is practically reduced to zero.
The need for mass vaccination was explained by the Deputy Director of UMMC for Personnel Andrey Chuvilkin: “Since the beginning of the pandemic, the company has from 7% to 20% of employees have already had a coronavirus infection. It is very important for us to form mass immunity in work collectives so that everyone is sure that they will not become infected themselves and will not infect colleagues, their relatives and friends. We want to restore normal work in order to exclude periods of forced self-isolation in contact with sick people and remote forms of work. This week we start vaccination of employees of UMMC organizations in the Sverdlovsk region. Taking into account those who have recovered and have antibodies to COVID-19, who have already been vaccinated and are planned to be vaccinated, we expect at least 80% of workers to develop herd immunity. ”
“Vaccination for UMMC employees is free and voluntary. And thanks to management for making sure the vaccine is available to employees. Personally, today, having consciously understood the mechanism of the vaccine, and therefore, I did not hesitate to administer the vaccine and I feel good, ”said Alexey Svalov, the head of the press service of the UMMC. - I think that I did everything right, and I want to urge my colleagues, acquaintances, residents of the Sverdlovsk region and other regions - do as we do, because only together, together, we can resist this disease. Join! ".
It should be noted that starting next week vaccination will start at enterprises of UMMC and outside the Sverdlovsk region.
