A new nature conservation facility has been equipped at the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company
The Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex) put into operation a new site for the temporary accumulation and storage of used large-size automobile tires with a capacity of 430 pieces. A modern nature conservation facility was built on the Vakhrushevsky field of the Krasnobrodsky coal mine branch. For these purposes, the company allocated more than 13 million rubles.
Construction of a site for temporary storage of used oversized tires at the Vakhrushevskoye field is one of the projects adopted by the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company to modernize waste accumulation sites, taking into account the requirements of the current environmental and sanitary and epidemiological legislation.
"Many sites at our enterprises, which were previously equipped for temporary storage of large-sized tires, are planned to be modernized," says Vitaly, Deputy Director for Ecology, Industrial Safety and Land Use of Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company JSC Latokhin. “The task of our company as a responsible subsoil user is to ensure the conditions for the proper storage of used tires, in particular, and industrial waste in general, in accordance with the requirements of the current environmental legislation.”
The area of the new site for temporary accumulation of tires is almost 3 thousand . square meters. The territory is equipped with a waterproof reinforced concrete covering, protection from atmospheric precipitation, a waste water drainage system, as well as fencing and lighting.
“When storing all tires are covered with a special rubberized awning, which allows collecting and directing natural precipitation into the catchment gutters, from where they are sent to wastewater treatment plants, - says Evgeny Buimov, Deputy Director of JSC MC Kuzbassrazrezugol for Capital Construction. “Fully purified water then goes into the river.”
At all sites for temporary accumulation and storage, used large-size tires are stored for up to 11 months, then contractors take them out for further disposal.
