A robotic destroyer was used to clean the trolleys from raw materials at the Polymetal Plant
Kirovgrad (Sverdlovsk region)
The Polymetal Production Branch of Uralelectromed JSC (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) cleans the trolleys from adhered raw materials using a Brokk-330 destroyer robot on a tracked platform. Previously, the remains of raw materials on the walls of the trolleys were cleaned off by hand. With the help of the robot, the cleaning process has become more efficient, safer, with a minimum amount of time and has improved the working conditions of workers in the metallurgical workshop.
- Using the robot is especially important in conditions of precipitation and low temperatures - it is during this period that the greatest adhesion of raw materials to the trolleys, - emphasized the acting Alexei Sevastyanov, the head of the shaft furnaces department of the metallurgical shop of the branch.
For the robotic destroyer, a hangar was mounted near the charge preparation workshop - between the loading area of trolleys and shaft furnaces, where raw materials are delivered. After unloading the raw material, the train with trolleys is brought to the hangar and the robot loosens the compressed charge using a lance or bucket. Then the cleaned trolleys are sent to load raw materials.
The charge loaders have been trained to control the robot destroyer.
