“Guys, always remember that being the first is not only honorable, but also responsibly,” Andrey Panshin, Technical Director of UMMC, greeted the graduates. - Ask yourself now, who will I be in five to ten years? There will be a goal - there will be means and ways to achieve it! Good luck! "
To train workers in demand in modern industrial enterprises in the technical school "Yunost" underwent a serious reorganization. For this, in 2012, an Agreement was signed between the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company in the field of training highly qualified workers. During the first three years of the project, the regional authorities allocated 180 million rubles, which made it possible to organize 25 modern workshops and laboratories, to renovate educational buildings and a dormitory of the technical school.
“The implementation of this project is a vivid example of the development of the dual education system in the Sverdlovsk region. Today, providing enterprises with highly qualified personnel is one of the priority issues. In the field of education, work in this direction is carried out, including in the implementation of the project "Ural Engineering School", developed at the initiative of Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev. The regional Ministry of Education is actively cooperating with enterprises so that graduates, after completing their studies, can get a decent job and be confident in their future, ”said Yuri Zelenov, Deputy Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region.
UMMC, implementing the program, has developed professional standards for professions, the content of these documents was taken into account when preparing educational programs. For teachers of the technical school, internships are organized at the enterprises of the company, and highly qualified specialists of the holding conduct practical classes in groups of welders, electricians, auto mechanics, metallurgists, chemists, machine gunners. All graduates underwent industrial and pre-diploma practice at enterprises. About 30% of graduates will be employed in blue-collar occupations in the higher fourth grade, the rest - in the third.
“This is an important event for us, when young, well-trained personnel with our participation come to the enterprise,” noted Viktor Olyunin, HR Director of UMMC. “They are immediately familiar with the equipment, with the working conditions, with the team in which they have to work, so the adaptation of young workers takes minimal time.”
Overall, 748 students study at the Yunost technical school, one third of them are ordered by UMMC enterprises located in the Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Kurgan regions. Training is carried out in eight areas that are relevant for modern industry, including "Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals", "Analytical quality control of chemical compounds", "Automation of technological processes and production" and others.
