The cost of providing personal protective equipment (PPE) amounted to more than 456 million rubles, with an average of 19.4 thousand rubles spent on PPE per employee. rubles. The nomenclature list of PPE approved for use includes 652 items, of which 45 were added in 2020.
“Our company is constantly and systematically working on the selection of PPE that provide both reliable protection against harmful and hazardous production factors, and and maximum comfort in use. We necessarily take into account the feedback of workers when testing new types of PPE and stay at the most suitable positions, ”emphasizes Evgeny Vinogradov.
New PPE for hands has been introduced at Cherepovets Steel Mill from cutting with sharp metal edges; protective glasses with diamond-plated, scratch-resistant; about 20 new PPE falling from a height; high visibility insulated suits; boots for electrical staff and new insulated boots for transport workers; alternative models of respiratory protection, etc.
“Due to the current epidemiological situation in 2020, the company faced difficulties in providing respirators. In December last year, we launched our own line for the production of respirators, which will produce PPE for respiratory organs both for protection against COVID and for industrial purposes, ”adds Evgeny Vinogradov.
