Kuzbassrazrezugol created the first 3D model of a coal mine

A three-dimensional digital geological model of the Taldinsky coal mine has been created within the framework of the digital strategy of operational transformation at JSC MC Kuzbassrazrezugol (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC). It is a detailed 3D model that brings together all the data obtained as a result of geological exploration. The digital model of a coal deposit includes block models of coal seams and wireframe models of the enclosing rocks, all dumps, wells and prospective development zones are indicated on it. It allows you to determine the quality indicators of coal in different areas and plan work where it is economically promising. "Thanks to the digital model, we optimize the work of geological and mine surveying support and get advantages in the design, planning of mining and drilling and blasting operations," explains the head of the Department of Geology and Subsoil Use of JSC " Management Company "Kuzbassrazrezugol" Andrey Zvorykin. - The model will improve the quality of keeping records of geological reserves and their movement. This is such a digital “organism” of the Taldinsky open-cut mine, which will be constantly maintained and updated. ”In total, by 2023, the Kuzbassrazrezugol branches will have three digital models: today, a 3D model of the Bachatsky open-cut mine is being developed, and then the Krasnobrodsky open-cut mine will be digitized. >
