Sibkabel has increased product quality control for oil workers, miners and railroad workers
The Sibkabel plant (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) has acquired four high-precision measuring devices to improve product quality control for the oil, mining and railway industries.
Modern equipment monitors uniform the imposition of insulation and sheathing on a conductive core (TPZH), which determines such important characteristics of the cable as electrical reliability, resistance to high temperatures, aggressive environments and other negative factors.
"Devices with a total cost of 10 million rubles have been installed on extrusion and vulcanization lines in shops No. 3, 6 and 40. They measure the diameters of the insulation and sheath with an accuracy of 1.0 microns at a high line speed (up to 500 m /min), "explained Gulnaz Vakurova, chief metrologist of Sibkabel JSC .
Modern automation quickly gives the measurement results to the display, so that the operator can instantly react to the slightest deviations. This allows you to economically use materials and eliminate waste.
“The five-year large-scale program for the modernization of equipment at Sibkabel JSC is gaining momentum every month. It covers not only production equipment, but also measuring equipment, since for us the solution to the problems of increasing production volumes and expanding the range of products is impossible without improving the quality control system. The reliability and safety of our cables is the main advantage in a highly competitive environment, which allows us to participate in the implementation of large regional and federal projects, ”said Alexey Zhuzhin, director of Sibkabel JSC.
