TMK and the Ural Federal University signed a cooperation agreement
Today, within the framework of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2019, the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (UrFU) signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by TMK CEO Igor Korytko and Ural Federal University Vice-Rector for Science Vladimir Kruzhaev.
The agreement is aimed at expanding and deepening cooperation between TMK and UrFU. It provides for joint work in a number of areas. In particular, we are talking about digitalization and information technology, career guidance, educational services, consulting, research and expert activities.
The first projects under this agreement will be consulting work on the unification and digitalization of TMK's personnel administration. In addition, starting in September, the first group of company employees will start training within the framework of a new master's program in metallurgical enterprise management developed jointly with Ural Federal University and the TMK2U Corporate University.
TMK has long and successfully interacted with the university, above all in the scientific and educational fields. Thus, since 2018, TMK has been a partner of the All-Russian Olympiad “I am a Professional”, within which, together with UrFU, it organizes Winter Schools in a number of areas. In addition, TMK, together with SAP, opened an innovation laboratory SAP Next-Gen Lab at the university. In it, the student and teaching staff of UrFU is developing solutions using the latest technologies.
“TMK and UrFU have long-standing partnerships that are of a strategic nature. They are aimed at forming a symbiosis of industry, science and education. The new agreement will allow us to increase the number of topics being worked out in the framework of joint research and expand our cooperation in the development of innovative solutions, "Igor Korytko noted.
INNOPROM is an international industrial exhibition, which has been held annually in Yekaterinburg since 2010. The organizers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region. INNOPROM-2019 runs from July 8 to July 11.
