Ural Steel (part of Metalloinvest) hosted the Safety Week - a quarterly set of events aimed at exchanging experience between the Company's enterprises, identifying areas for growth and introducing best practices in the field of occupational health and safety.

Their professionalism and adherence to principles in relation to the rules largely determine the overall efficiency and prospects for the development of a culture of safety at work. ”
“ Without a change in attitude, without regular measures aimed at reducing risks, we will not be able to achieve our main goal - zero injury rate, - said Ildar Iskakov, Managing Director of Ural Steel. “This is a long process that requires systematic and comprehensive work with maximum involvement at all levels of all departments: from managers to ordinary employees.”
Within the framework of the Safety Week, attendance at shift-meeting meetings, commission audits of the state of labor protection, industrial and fire safety, cross-site audits at workplaces, trainings and business games took place.
During the communication sessions, the issues of increasing electrical safety were touched upon, the results of the implementation of the program of rapid changes in blast furnace and electric arc furnace shops, methods of introducing a culture of conscious safety were discussed.
2021 has been declared the year of Industrial Safety at Metaloloinvest's enterprises. Safe working conditions remain the Company's key production priorities. The modernization of equipment is systematically carried out, modern equipment is purchased, and best practices in the field of occupational health and safety are being introduced.
