On any road, on any side: Grunwald and SSAB as part of the all-Russian MAN run
MAN Truck & Bus Russia presented a new generation of trucks for the Russian market in the center of Moscow, on the embankment of the Gorky Central Park. The company simultaneously unveiled new cars of the MAN TGL, TGM, TGS and TGX lines – an event that promises to be one of the central ones for the entire industry in 2021.
The Grunwald company, acting as a system partner of MAN Truck & Bus Russia in the Russian transport market, took part in the presentation and demonstrated already known to carriers, but no less advanced vehicles. In the main equipment section, the Grunwald curtain semi-trailer with cones was presented – a model that has become a solid foundation for the business of many transport companies, thanks to its proven reliability and functionality.
The construction line of Grunwald presented a lightweight dump semi-trailer "VesVRamkah" for the efficient transportation of non-metallic materials over any distance-light and durable, with an optimized own weight and a roomy body made of HARDOX 450 steel. The semi-trailer bears the SSAB certification mark "Hardox in My Body", which confirms that the dump truck body is made of first-class materials and confidently resists wear.
The solemn events in Moscow on April 22 and 23 will be the first in the project of a large-scale rally. In 141 days on the road, the new MAN tractors and Grunwald semi-trailers will visit 11 Russian megacities and cover 26,000 km of the way.
In each of the cities, guests of the event will enjoy live communication in an informal atmosphere, a show program and a test drive.
The rally will take place on the following route: St. Petersburg-May 14, Krasnodar-May 27, Rostov-on-Don-June 4, Nizhny Novgorod-June 11, Kazan-June 18, Ufa-July 2, Yekaterinburg-July 16, Novosibirsk-August 6, Krasnoyarsk-August 12, Vladivostok-September 10.
Andrey Chuprin, Sales Director of SSAB Special Steels and a partner of Grunwald in the development of advanced vehicles, noted:
"Thousands of kilometers of Russian roads are a test for both drivers and vehicles. We accept this challenge with the confidence that neither rocks, nor sand, nor sharp turns and bumps on the roads will become an obstacle for trucks. When all the mechanisms work smoothly, and the parts are made of the most resistant materials, there is no doubt about the safety and quality of the path. The rally will show that the hardness and strength of steel, combined with the competent design of the car and trailer, are not afraid of the most adverse operating conditions."
