Severstal introduces unique cryogenic valves to the market
PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies, has mastered the technology of production of Ak500-class cryogenic rebar. This is a new product of the Cryoix line, which retains its properties at temperatures down to -165 ° C and is unique for the Russian metallurgy.
“Cryogenic valves retain their properties at extremely low temperatures, which makes them applicable in narrow areas of industrial construction, for example, the erection of liquefied natural gas terminals. The cryogenic properties of the Cryoix Ak500 valves have been confirmed by tests at leading research institutes. In addition, the use of such fittings contributes to the development of import substitution and allows consumers to reduce costs due to a small logistic leverage ", - comments Pyotr Mishnev, Director of Technical Development and Quality of the Severstal Russian Steel Division.
rolled products of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine together with experts on the development of the product category "Long Products" and the Directorate for Technical Development and Quality. The selected chemical composition, as well as the parameters of heating, rolling and cooling allowed specialists to obtain the profile required for mechanical properties that meets the requirements of national and foreign standards.
