Metalloinvest is implementing a pilot project to improve the efficiency of crushing equipment at Mikhailovsky GOK
Metalloinvest, a leading manufacturer and supplier of iron ore products and hot briquetted iron in the world market, one of the regional producers of high-quality steel, invested 300 million rubles in a pilot project to improve the efficiency of the concentrating plant of Mikhailovsky GOK im. A.V. Varicheva.
At the first stage of the crushing shop, new equipment was put into pilot operation: cone crushers of medium and fine crushing and two inertial screens.
“The undoubted advantage of the new cascade is that the units are equipped with an improved security system, including pre-start signaling,” said Anton Zakharov, Managing Director of MGOK. “Based on the results of pilot tests at the pilot site, a decision will be made to replace crushing equipment at the remaining 17 stages of the processing plant.”
It is planned that the capacity of the cascade will increase by 70%, up to 715 tons /h. The new crushers also provide a reduction in the size of the crushed ore. The use of these solutions at all stages can increase the productivity of the further technological chain by 2-3% and reduce specific energy consumption.
The equipment was supplied to Mikhailovsky GOK by UZTM-KARTEX. During its production, the proposals of the plant's specialists were taken into account.
The integrated development of the plant, aimed at increasing the production and quality of iron ore products, is part of Metalloinvest's Strategy for Qualitative Changes, calculated until 2032.
The goal of the Strategy is to strengthen the leading positions in the production of high-quality iron ore, metallized and steel products using “green” technologies.
