Sandvik Coromant at the exhibition " Metalworking-2021»
Sandvik Coromant presented the updated CoroPlus digital platform at the stands of its partners – FINVAL Group and AS ITR as part of the Metalloobrabotka-2021 exhibition, held in Moscow on May 24-28.
The CoroPlus platform is designed to combine all digital solutions to improve production efficiency. It includes a number of solutions for the main stages of production, as well as solutions for tool logistics.
Among the main components of the system, Sandvik Coromant specialists distinguish software that provides recommendations for optimal cutting modes-CoroPlus ToolGuide, a program for creating and importing 3D models of tools in CAM systems-CoroPlus ToolLibrary, and the CoroPlus ToolPath software package, which includes software for creating control programs for processing methods PrimeTurning and SpiroGrooving.
Extensive software capabilities allow you to fully simulate the operation of machine mechanisms, optimize processing modes, detect and eliminate errors at the design stage, and thus avoid damage to the final part, tooling and the tool itself.
Instrumental logistics has become an equally important component of CoroPlus. The solution in this area provides control over inventory, allowing you to quickly find the necessary or, conversely, identify the least used tool, as well as track each registered unit, getting information about when and by whom it was taken, for which machine or part. Together, all these features of the software allow you to optimize inventory, as well as reduce equipment downtime during setup.
In addition, the advantages of the software include compatibility with the main types of storage and delivery devices: spiral-type systems, "cabinets" with sliding shelves, with cell control, and open storage systems.
In the near future, the company plans to update the software, replacing the well-known Russian customers AutoTAS with CoroPlus Tool Supply.
A novelty in a number of digital solutions of Sandvik Coromant is the VERICUT software package for visualizing the process of machining parts on CNC machines, checking and optimizing control programs for virtual simulation of the process.
"In the course of the transformations that have taken place at Sandvik Coromant in recent years, a decision was made at the global level to change the marketing strategy. This year, we do not participate in exhibitions around the world, but focus on building a direct dialogue with customers to solve specific problems. We conduct targeted events remotely and in person, both in our new office and at partner sites. Nevertheless, we understand that Metalloobrabotka is a landmark event and a meeting place for the industry, and we are grateful to our partners for the opportunity to present their solutions at their stands, " says Albina Afonichkina, Head of the Marketing Communications Group.
"We have been cooperating with Sandvik Coromant since 2016, introducing advanced solutions and increasing the productivity of domestic aerospace enterprises. We are participating in the Metalloobrabotka exhibition for the first time, in the Industry 4.0 pavilion, which demonstrates solutions for enterprise automation. Within the framework of this topic, the CoroPlus platform, which we present along with our own projects and solutions, is more relevant than anywhere else," said Sergey Artsimenya, General Director of AS ITR.
"For 30 years, FINVAL Group has been a partner of Sandvik Coromant in the Russian market. During this time, the format of our cooperation has evolved from the implementation of a Swedish manufacturer's tool to joint projects for the digital transformation of our customers ' production facilities. According to the results of 2019, FINVAL Group was included in the 100 largest IT companies in Russia according to the CNews rating as a system integrator. Our accumulated experience, combined with the new digital solutions of Sandvik Coromant, allows us to achieve excellent synergy. We are confident that the new Sandvik Coromant products, which were presented at our stand at the Metalloobrabotka 2021 exhibition, will allow our customers to take a significant step forward on the way to implementing Industry 4.0 solutions – " said Dmitry Kadinsky, CEO of Finval-Engineering.
