Representatives of OJSC “BMZ & dash; the management company of the BMK holding took part in a round table meeting on the topic “Market for the production and consumption of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Republic of Belarus”. The event took place on May 27 within the framework of an international forum organized by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange in cooperation with the Russian Union of Metal Products Suppliers.
& bsp; & bsp; During the discussion, the topics of the current situation on the market of metal products in Belarus and Russia, the main trends of 2021, as well as the whole range of issues related to the purchase of metal products and sale at exchange trading were touched upon.
& bsp; & bsp; Each of these areas is of particular relevance for BMZ, since Russia is the leading importer of the plant's products: it accounts for more than 20% of the total export volume of the enterprise. Based on the results of work in January-April 2021, BMZ sold about 125 thousand tons of metal products to the Russian market, which is 118% over the same period of the previous year. At the same time, Russia is one of the key suppliers of raw materials and materials to BMZ.
