The Tula-Stal metallurgical plant was officially launched in Tula. On July 16, 2019, the new enterprise was visited by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Igor Shchegolev and Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin. The production tour was conducted by Evgeny Zubitsky, President of LLC UK PMH, member of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Steel Association. Tula-Stal is a partner company of PMH. This is one of the largest investment projects implemented in the domestic metallurgy. Investments in the construction of the plant amounted to 55 billion rubles. Tula-Stal is the first enterprise in the history of modern Russia, which has implemented an investment project for the production of high-quality long products from converter steel. The plant's products are aimed at consumers in the construction and machine-building sectors, as well as the hardware industry. Tula-Stal will be able to produce about 1.8 million tons of rolled steel annually. The company uses the best available technologies in the field of environmental protection. For the first time in the practice of domestic metallurgy, in addition to bag filters, an electrostatic precipitator was installed in the gas cleaning system of the oxygen-converter shop, which allows efficient cleaning of the outgoing converter gases. Also, the plant operates a fully closed water circulation cycle. The company has created 1,800 jobs.
