MMK joins the Social Charter of Russian Business

According to the Social Charter of Russian Business, the mission of entrepreneurs is to ensure the sustainable development of independent and responsible companies that meet long-term economic interests, contribute to the achievement of social peace, security and well-being of citizens, preservation of the environment and respect for human rights. The charter spelled out such business principles as trusting relationships with partners and investors, ensuring decent working conditions for employees, attention to the environment, and the development of local communities. To date, 276 organizations have joined the Social Charter, employing a total of more than 7.5 million employees.

The activities of PJSC MMK fully comply with all the principles of the Social Charter of Russian Business: the company pays great attention to sustainable development, social projects and the environmental agenda. Thus, in 2020, MMK invested more than 7 billion rubles in environmental activities and reduced gross emissions into the atmosphere by 19.6 thousand tons, and investments in charitable and social programs reached 2.18 billion rubles (an increase of 21.8% compared to with 2019). In addition, this year the company has successfully released an integrated annual report prepared in accordance with the international Sustainability Reporting Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative.
