Sibkabel plant implements energy efficiency programs

Sibkabel JSC (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) is implementing energy efficiency programs. They will significantly save on water, electricity and gas consumption. First of all, taking into account modern methods of energy conservation, it is planned to modernize the plant's boiler house. According to preliminary calculations, investments in the project will exceed 60 million rubles.

“The new boiler will provide the amount of steam required for efficient operation - 10 tons per hour, and most importantly, it will create stable values of its pressure, which plays an important role in manufacturing of various types of cable products. The company will be able to reduce the cost of energy consumption in the summer, when part of the steam produced simply goes into the air. The existing equipment does not allow regulating its production, "said Yegor Lakhtin, chief power engineer of Sibkabel JSC.

The characteristics of the steam that produces boiler equipment are of particular importance for the operation of individual workshops of the enterprise. Under its influence, at a temperature of more than 100 degrees, the operation of lines of continuous vulcanization of rubber compounds is carried out, where insulation and sheath are applied to mine and flexible power cables.

“The period of development of information technologies will soon replace the era of energy efficiency. In this sense, our plant keeps up with the times and even tries to work a little ahead of the curve, implementing programs and projects aimed at saving all production resources, "said Alexey Zhuzhin, director of Sibkabel JSC.

Modernization program the factory boiler house should be completed by 2020. It is also worth noting that the enterprise has developed and is implementing a five-year project for the development, modernization and reliability improvement of the energy sector.
