Severstal took an expert part in the V Forum of the cities of its business partner - Rosatom
On August 25-26, within the framework of the V Forum of Rosatom Cities, which took place in Moscow, a series of expert discussions “The present and future of cities with high scientific, technological and innovative potential in the context of ESG principles and the Sustainable Development Goals” took place.
The Forum was attended by heads of cities, heads of city-forming enterprises, representatives of interested authorities, expert and analytical centers and representatives of large Russian companies.
One of the most important tasks of the Forum is to build open communication and systemic interaction between companies responsible for well-being and positive development such cities in the logic of sustainable development, guided by the ESG principles and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The central part of the Forum was the work of 4 corporate lounges from the companies Severstal, Roscosmos, Norilsk Nickel and Russian Railways on the following topics: Education, Culture, Health, Urban Communities and Infrastructure. Also on the sidelines of the Forum were lectures, round tables, design and expert work in groups.
In the corporate living room of Severstal, the company's social investment experience was presented to the announced topics by Natalya Poppel, Advisor to the General Director for Sustainable Development, and on the topic “Infrastructure Irina Asonkova, Deputy Director of the Cherepovets Urban Development Agency, spoke.
The Forum of Cities is an annual event organized by Rosatom State Corporation. In 2021, the attention of the Forum participants turned out to be not only nuclear cities, but also other similar municipalities located in the zone of responsibility of large Russian companies.
The plenary session “Strategy of the Center: the basis of diversification is the sustainability of territories state significance ", which took place at the Analytical Center of the Government of the Russian Federation.
